Workable but with a key flaw

I ordered this adapter as a "spare" for my Magellan nav system, which was listed as compatible. While the adapter mates with the nav, the connection is loose and prone to be broken as the cable pulls loose with the least bit of jostling. Sure, it's something a bit of duct tape may fix, but not equivalent to the basi instrumentation adapter in performance or convenience--hence my low rating.

This works and is easy to use. the coiled cable is more commodious to use. I have fixed space in my car for along cord.

False advertising

The product that is described is not the product that was sent to me. I wanted the 9 feet car charger, but got the introductory Magellan stock car charger. What a rip off. If I wasn't desperately in need of the charger at that time, I would have sent it back right away. Before buying the product, I had read the reviews and one person had a similar experience. I thought it may have just been a fluke, but apparently I was wrong. Now I'm stuck with this product. How may Amazon concede their vendors to rip humans off in this way. I'm very surprised. I can't rate this item because it wasn't what I ordered.
