Does NOT work with Magellan Maestro 4700

Although it says Magellan...it does not work with the Maestro 4700, which has a single slot mount, the ARKON came with a dual slot mount!

An Easy Solution

Kept looking for an easy solution to mounting my GPS in a way I could install and remove my unit in seconds. Tried vent clips, the suction mount that came with the unit, etc. N one to my liking. Finally came allround this cup holder mount, ordered it, tried it and without delay relegated all the others to my junk box. Takes less than 30 seconds to install or remove, easy to adjust position and close sufficient so I may effortlessly listen the "lady in the GPS" giving me directions so that I do not have to take my eyes off the road. When I arrive, it takes less than 30 seconds to pull and store the GPS in my brief case that goes with me leaving no trace that there was ever a GPS in the car. Only downside: If you want to view the GPS screen, you do have to take your eyes off the road for a second which in my book is not safe. So I just use the audio directions which are just as easy -- if not more comfortable to get from point A to point B.

Arkon CM033-G-2 DOES NOT WORK WITH MAGELLAN ROADMATE 1700 7 INCH SCREEN

Unit does not work with Magellan Roadmate 1700 with a 7 inch screen.
Magellan will have to have changed the connector type with the new Roadmate 1700--7 inch screen.
All users of new Roadmate 1700 7 inch ---beware of this.
Looks like the unit will work for other Magellan Products however.
