5Worth reading if you have concerns
By J. Murphy
The reason I wrote this was to ease a heap of worries other may have. After I purchased the refurbished model, I saw galore complaints when it comes to the subscription to NuLink not being two years, it was the remainder of the introductory subscription.
When I received mine and I registered it, I noticed I only had 7 months left, a quick email to Garmin with a copy of my invoice and they reinstated the remainder of the time, no troubles at all.
I have purchased refurbished models from Garmin in the past and have never had an issues with the quality of the units. My personal faith is that most of these units are returns from persons locking them up and not knowing how to reboot them ought to it occur and that a quick pass through the technician restores them to normal working order.

Now I am off to play with the actual functionality and see if I like my altered GPS.

1Poor quality, poor client service
By Glenn Wagstaff
The connected services are great, but the routing engine is terrible. Route calculations slow to a creep when the vehicle is moving. In order to calculate even the simplest of routes, I have to pull over and stop the car.

Garmin's telephone client aid is so overloaded; I was forced to send an e-mail. Three days later, I got a response with an RMA number and instructions to send it back (at my cost) for an exchange. The substitute exhibits the same slow routing. I employed to be impressed with Garmin (I've owned seven), but the last two (including a 765T) have been mediocre at best. Garmin is distinctly cutting corners to cut costs. Garmin needs to stop rushing poorly tested models out each few months, and focus on regaining the quality and client service they applied to have.

2Former Dash Owner...
By Reid Fishler
I purchased this item hoping it would replace my now-dead Dash GPS. Unfortunately, it doesn't even come close. The routing the unit gives is HORRIBLE, and it does not learn general routes like most GPS's will now. The ads are on the screen whenever you turn the unit on, and altho they are small, they are annoying! The only redeeming feature of this unit was the capacity (when it worked) to send addresses to it by way of Google Maps. This unit necessitated another 6-9 months of quality assurance and beta testing...it isn't worth $99, much less $300.
