Excellent "Quick Release" GPS

As a GPS Unit, the 3790LMT is phenomenal, and I'll get to why in a bit, but first, I decisive to write this review for those who, like me, live in a share of the world where the climate is uttermost sufficient to make it a requirement to take your GPS in and out of the car on a regular basis to prevent harm (or crime).

Nice GPS ANNOYING Pop up ads Buyer Beware

The 3790lmt is a actually nice GPS. There is a lot to like in regards to it. But, there is one HUGE drawback to this unit or other lmt units. If you use the traffic service you will have to deal with pop up ads. Yes, may you believe it? You compensate $400-$500 for a nice GPS and you have to tolerate pop up ads. You can't get away from this annoying pop up junk. Internet, cell phone and now your GPS. I had to take away 2 stars from a product that has the potential for 5 stars. Garmin must at least give you the option to see these ads or not and not strength them on you. I called Garmin help and was advised not to use the traffic service if I didn't want to see the ads. Excuse me?? The traffic service is one of the main reasons I purchased the thing. Had I known regarding the pop up ads, I would not have purchased. Buyer Beware.

I love it

This unit is, hands-down, the most gorgeous GPS I have ever seen. The design is amazing. I was happy with my Nuvi 755t, but when I saw the 3790lmt, I had to have it! It looks better than closely all the new phones I have seen and I have to wonder why Garmin doesn't put Android on the device and turn it into a smartphone. The user interface has changed more or less from former versions and it took a great deal of getting used to, but I have come to be grateful for the changes. The voice acknowledgement isn't perfect, but it is significantly better than other gadgets I've tried. Other than that, I haven't experienced any bugs or problems; everything has worked flawlessly. Compared to my former GPS, this one is faster, smoother and more polished. Before resolving to buy this one, I checked out a great deal of gadgets from TomTom and other manufacturers, but none of them even compare. This thing is game-changing. I suppose Garmin's contenders to undertake to copy this device the way Apple's challengers undertake to copy the iPhone. Put this side by side with any other navigation device and I'm sure you'll agree.
