Great tool
By Cy Gone
Took only 10 minutes to install in my 2011 Mazda V6. Does everything like it says. Have had no trouble with this device. Easy to read and so easy to setup.

It will have to do more.
By Gary L. Kneisley
The Garmin ecoRoute HD does what it said it would do but it is frustratingly limited. The sample rate seems too slow and the gauges seem to lag when displaying RPM and Speed. I have yet to get it to bluetooth link to Garmin Mechanic on my Droid Bionic cell phone but haven't actually done the troubleshooting to find out why it doesn't. It links to my Garmin 1690 nicely but wish the 1690 would toggle more speedily amidst the gauges and map screens.... it takes assorted screen punches to go back and forth. Basically, the ecoRoute tool allows precise readings from the OBDII socket, and will read trouble codes and concede you to reset the "check engine" light. All good stuff. It could do more if there was an accelerometer in the GPS to measure acceleration and g-forces. A 0-60mph timer and horsepower calculator would be nice to have too.

Could be a lot better
By Hiram Glen Glover
When this works it does a good job, but it asks you to set up respective vehicles and profiles but doesn't store them, it may or may not connect depends on how you hold your mouth. I use it when I am checking on a driver and need to be capable to quickly move it from vehicle to vehicle.
Connection needs to be worked on very unreliable.
Needs to retain vehicle profiles or store them on the unit it connects with.
Need to offer a version that hooks up to heavy trucks or even an adaptor for the current model. The truck driving community would be capable to put this item to better use than your intermediate each day car driver.
