5A bit mixing up to set up but very nice once you read the instructions
By I'm A Retired Biker now
Not bad just a little hard to set up the dissimilar screens on it.
But with not one thing added right out of the box you may do rather a few things it has a tracking thing it has a speedometer and charts of where you are going and where you have been it has a chart plotter a man over board maker a track marker rather a lot and it does rather a bit without adding the transducer or antenna or any of the other add-on's it is easy to wire up to the boat there are a lot of wires when you open it up and it scared the crap out of me they were perhaps 20 or 30 wires but do not worry you only need couple of them A Positive and a ground and thats finelooking much it for the basic operation and like I said you in truth get a lot in my opinion..

3Unit looks good
By Peter Crannell
The unit has a nice clear screen that shows up well in any light conditions. I have the same problem with this unit that I had with my handheld Garmin. The Inland Lakes software does not the right way show the emplacement of the boat. It will display the boat skidding along on arid land when you are 200ft. off shore. This seems to be a problem with the way the software interacts with the unit. If you save the track to a computer, open Inland Lakes there, it will always show the boat in the water. Trying to explain this to Garmin help is like talking to my cat. I have had a lot of Garmin productions and they work well for the most part, but, help is closely nonexistent.

3NO Map included/ don't like alphabet scroll when naming a position
By Geneva
The description leads one to believe it has a U.S. base map installed. Unless I'm doing something defective it has no map what so ever. Be prepared to spend another $99 to upload any kind of map. Yes, it is of good quality. Installation is a snap. Most of us will only use the ground and hot wire. More modern installation will provide you with leads to your radio and other communicating devices. Ease of use is good, you will have to page through a lot to find what you want though. One thing I veritably don't like is once you mark your position you have to page forward twice to name it then scrolling through the alphabet characacters is like pulling teeth. Don't get me wrong. I will rate it good for value, just do not forget you get what you compensate for. If I had to do it all over I would spend the extra cash for a better model.
