Horrible...
By NJ Educator
This suction cup mount is utterly horrible. I shouldn't say that...it's fantastic for when it comes to 3 weeks, then it's all down hill. Mine kept outstanding for regarding 3 weeks, then kept falling off with the sun pounding down on it. I cleaned the windshield and cleaned the suction cup, still falls off. Then yesterday my wife wanted to borrow it so I went to take it off my windshield and what do I find? The suction cup was in a literal sense glued to my windshield. It came off in pieces, and there's some stuck to the windshield still. Now of course it won't work at all. It isn't like I live in Nevada or something, where it's 110 degrees each day in the summer, to deteriorate the material (not that it ought to then either). This thing is made of a great deal of CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP material. Unbelievable. I've had my radar detector mounted on the windshield for 4 years. It's fallen off only a handful of times (maybe twice). So this thing gets 1 star. Only because I can't give it zero stars. It's too bad I can't find a heap of other brand that makes one, because this thing is sheer JUNK and a waste of $$.

Not well suitable for moving from vehicle to vehicle
By Diver Down
Once this mount gets hot in the sunlight, the rubber adhers to the glass. To get it off you will in all probability rip share of the rubber off and the whole thing will lose it's capacity to manufacture good suction for the next install. My recommendation is mount it once and don't move it again or you will make a $30 fault just as I did.
An substitute for moving mounts from vehicle to vehicle I use is the automotive mount (dash style) adding my own velcro for use with rental cars. Replacing velcro is much for less than replacing the window mount.Garmin Automotive Mount for Nuvi (010-10723-04)

just like the others say...

don't bother with this. As cited before, the rubber from the cup melted onto the windshield. It took everlastingly for me to get the darn thing off the windshield. After getting it off, I still had to employed a razor blade to get the rest of the black rubber off the glass. And there is still a slight black circle there. This happened in April in Michigan.
I will admit, before it melted, the emplacement and flexibilty of the mount was great.
