2Fell apart after 1 year
By JoAnne
Used this charger for regarding a year before the top may off and the fuse popped out. I was capable to find the parts and put it back together a few times, but this last time - the fuse is nowhere to be found. It's a horrid design - plastic threads that wear out over time. Don't buy.

5EXACT Match
By Michael C. Christiansen
For those that have lost or damaged thier factor power/FM adapter or want a 2nd one for another vehicle this is EXACLTY what you need. This is a factory firstborn adapter - not a 3rd party version. Comes in a Magellan box.

1Plan On This Being A Temporary Solution...
By Peter Ferris
I had EXACTLY the same problem as the other user - after regarding 2 months of moderate use the *&^%$# thing came apart. Same place and for the same reason! A metal share screwed into PLASTIC threads! You don't have to be an engineer to figure out the problem with that idea! For want of a nail the shoe was lost. Apparently Magellan didn't use an engineer to design / approve it either! I have to wonder if Magellan ever field tested that adapter. When I called Magellan to seek warranty service, I was told this was an "accessory" and wasn't covered!!! A real shame to buy an (otherwise) *EXCELLENT* $300 GPS (4350)and have POS adapter like that! Worse... when the metal contact cap popped off, it shorted out the accessory circuit of the car and blew a fuse underneath the hood (at night, of course!). That was sweet! . If anybody knows of a WELL designed adapter, preferably WITH antenna cable, please drop me a line at "amazon AT pferris DOT com". Meanwhile, save your cash for a GOOD adapter! Thanks!
