A in truth good buy.
By Trav-B.
This GPS, which compliments my GPS case buy (obviously) was made a few weeks ago. When I primary went to the beach, I knew I necessitated a GPS, because I got lost on the way to a friends house down at the beach. So after being chauffeured around town to a local Best Buy, I purchased the machine.
I didn't buy it from Amazon, merely because I couldn't pass up a 4.3' GPS for $87.16 after tax (originally on clearance for 79.99). Never the less, the time came for me to put the unit to the test when I left out that Monday morning for my apartment. After gassing up and putting in the address, the unit took perchance 3 minutes to catch a signal (the pumps were under an awning, go figure), before without delay springing into action. The pleasant 'ding-dong' lets you know when you need to merge, or even take a turn. The voice is somewhat audible and speaks distinctly (well, as without doubt or question as a robotic female may speak, lol).
It comes with a few extra spaces of internal memory for saving addresses. Which, makes it even having little impact for you to navigate to a sure place (but I'm sure most units give you at least two to three spaces for that specific task). The associate at the Best Buy was right in regards to one thing. Even altho most GPS units are the same, the Magellan was reasonably easy to use, and made me feel right at home.
If you're looking for a GPS that will work wonders, I'd severely suggest this unit, because from the initial time I've employed it, I've been completely and altogether satisfied.

Happy user
By Anderthal
My wife hates maps, so I purchased her this text-to-speech enabled GPS at after Christmas sale at huge box store (cheaper than the offer here). In my standard analysis paralysis manner, I studied all I could and found numerous complaints on GPS units that took a long time to acquire signal or had poor accuracy. The SE4 is WAAS enabled - this scheme enhances the accuracy and speed with which it operates. The unit is simple to operate for the basic stuff, altho I haven't had the gumption to figure out the multiple-destination feature, which would be handy. Also discouraging and hindering to try to get back from turn-by-turn mode to map mode and in some manner we seem to get the home set to the current emplacement all the time. We've had no difficultnesses with the unit and I am glad I got it for my wife's sake. Though I prefer maps, I do at times find myself using the unit when I'm too lazy to find a map and study the route. Unless they've added the option, this unit does not include map updates, so it will gradually diminish in usefulness over time.

A Great GPS
By B. Goldfarb
This is my second Magellan GPS. I had the little one that didn't announce names and wanted a more prominent screen and announce names. This GPS starts up fast in the morning and finds the signal. When I want an substitute route it gives me the choices fast. The points of interest on this one has so far had everything I was looking for. And the greatest thing I like is when you just turn and the scheme has to re-calculate the route that annoying voice that says "re-calculating" doesn't come on. It fast and very easy to use and for the price you can't beat it.
