Works as intended, but poor design

This is the primary car adapter/charger for the Magellan RoadMate. The adapter works fine, charges the unit as intended, but the design on the adapter 12V end of the plug is flawed. The 12V plastic casing around the electrical conductor may break off inside your 12V car adapter. It happened to me and various others that purchased the RoadMate unit. I won't be replacing mine with this cable.

So far, no difficulties with it! Works fine with my Magellan 4250, esp after the initial one got dysfunctional. Definitely for less than buying the stock name brand.

Worked fine until it broke off inside of my car's charging port

This GPS charger works just fine for a little while. Like other reviewers, however, mine broke off inside of the charging port/lighter in my car. Worse, the broken piece is stuck inside of the charging port and I will have to disconnect the car's battery in order to get in there with a needle-nose pliers and pull it out without killing myself. I will not be buying this queer charger again.
