2Maps are old 2008 Q2
By T. Prout
I am returning my not so long ago purchased Magellan 4350 due to two year old maps. I contacted Magellan to see if the unit was entitled for the 30 day map update. The unit is, but I was told the only update is the presently installed 2008-2009 map set. The unit apparently has compatability troubles with recent Magellan Map updates. I applied the 4350 two times and found it to be a good unit at a outstanding price, but two year old maps makes it unreliable. A GPS may only be as good as the maps and databases it run from!

1Bad out of box. Could not acquire signal.

This product failed to acquire GPS signal. My fourth GPS, so I recognise how it works. This is a refurbished item, it must never have been shipped. Shame on Amazon.

1Waiting on my 3rd Magellan 4350
By bborden
Let me save you a heap of heartache. Do not buy this unit.

I ordered a refurbished 4350 (not from Amazon) and it would not maintain a signal. I was lucky if it kept the signal for 10 minutes. Very discouraging and hindering as I was on a trip from Arizona to Florida. It even had all of the prior owners info in the phone book so Magellan plainly didn't even reload the operating system onto it after it was sent back by the original owner.

When I returned home I complained and was sent another refurb unit. This one wouldn't even acquire a signal AT ALL.

The second one was sent back and I am waiting on a NEW unit to be sent.

Also the maps are 2 years old!

Do yourself a favor and buy another GPS brand...from Amazon.
