Magellan RoadMate 360 Has Never Failed Even in a Crazy City Like Seattle!
By Merry Rose Walker
I love this little Magellan RoadMate and use it all the time! I go to tons of yard and estate sales and this map gets me perfectly each week! I use this map at least 10 to 15 times weekly if not more. The streets in Seattle and surrounding areas are elaborated and I think very confusing. The map has never failed to get me to the destination.
I have never read the directions so it took me awhile to actually figure it out. It also saves former destinations as I am sure all of them do.
You must always make SURE you have the antennae up! Otherwise it will take everlastingly to compute. It may not always calculate the sheer shortest time but if you have ever driven in Seattle, it is astounding that the map may even find it's way around. You may also search for sure stores, and other destinations as well. It will fetch places you type in such as a sure grocery store, a sure coffee shop etc.
I have never applied a more costly GPS scheme but as I mentioned, I use this map in all probability a lot more than most people and it works without a hitch. It is a extremely pleasing scheme for the price.

Great GPS for the money
By M. Stevenson
I purchased this remanufactured Magellan RoadMate 360 after I employed a hertz rental car with a similar GPS on a vacation a few months ago. I had always thought that GPS schemes seemed neat, but wasn't sure if they were worth their price tag (usualy the "cheap" ones run in $500 - $600 range).
After I used the GPS in our rental car, I was sold, it was so handy to have, and made driving basically stress free. I'm not sure what model the rental car had, but the RoadMate 360 has a very similar interface, but I think it's better than the rental car GPS (for one, it has a touchscreen, that alone is so much better).
After our GPS arrived, I got my initial probability to actually test it out by going on a weekend trip out of town with my wife. Even even though I actually did recognise how to get to the city we were journeying to, I applied the GPS to get me there. Once in the city though, it did a outstanding occupation of getting me to the hotel and then to all of our actions the next day.
I have heard others complain that the unit has a hard time with numbered addresses (like 72nd street), but I applied it in Utah which has fundamentally not one thing but numbered addresses, and I found all of them fine (the trick is to enter just the number, and then select from the list whether it's north, east, south, or west after).
I am very impressed with the unit. The screen is nice and bright, the instructions are deafening and clear, the voice is pleasant and not harsh, and the directions have been spot on and reliable.
I guess if I had to find a con, it might be the POI (Points of Interest) database. As others have noted in other reviews, because this comes with the maps for all of U.S., Canada, and Peurto Rico, they had to slim down the POI database. There are still 2 million POI's, which is a lot, but when you consider that's for all of those regions, it may be finelooking sparse. I did find that it had some utile and helpful POIs though, and was competent to find a few malls and restaurants I wouldn't have found otherwise.
I would also like to note that I found a firmware upgrade for these units on Magellans website, but my remanufactured unit (and another remanufactured unit that my parents bought) came with the latest firmware already installed, so that was a nice bonus. If you are having troubles with your RoadMate 360, I would suggest that you make sure you have the latest firmware altered on your unit before making a review.
Another thing I would note, I was actually pleasently amazed with how much I liked the windshield mount. I in truth thought it was not going to work as well as it did (I figured it would get in the way and be a cheap flimsy suction cup that I left in the box and found a dissimilar way to mount the GPS). It is well made and forms a very strong suction to the windsheild, and did not get in the way at all.
Obviously, as is with any GPS, these may not exclusively rule out your own mutual sense, but if you use a GPS understanding it's limiations, they are wonderul machines.
My overall experience with this unit has been very positive. I am very happy with regards to my purchase, and think it's an unbelievable value at this remanufactured price.
What Comes in the box of the Remanufactured Units:
- Magellan RoadMate 360 GPS Unit
- Windshield Mount

Worked right out of the box
By S. Lee
This was the primary remanufactured electronic device that I purchased but Amazon and Magellan are reputable companies and the price was unbelievable. I had employed the Hertz NeverLost version so I just had to plug it in and it was ready to use. The user interface is very intuitive and the touch screen makes it even posing no difficulty to use. It works outstanding in the Los Angeles area and I plan to use it along the entire west coast. The unit came with the latest software already loaded and was in brand new condition.
